How you doing?I'm trying to develop an JS node application using Planet API but I'm falling to get any data from SkySat Sandbox.According to sandbox docs, the city of São Mateus - SP, Brazil should be accessible in Sandbox from 2021 - 2022. I need to programmatically create API keys for Sentinel Hub, but their API doesn't provide an endpoint for this functionality. I am working on a computer vision personal project and need satellite imagery for my training/validation data. Currently I am working with some mildly-deprecated source code to fetch from Bing’s map tile service. I have some code that I wrote to extract all the tiles which cover a specified region given a lat/lon bounding box and range of zoom levels. With Bing, I just need to construct a quad-key for each desired XYZ and then throw a GET request to a URL using that quad-key and boom I’ve got the tile. As I said this Bing tool is being deprecated and I am trying to decide between using Azure Maps or Planet. Ideally I would like to integrate this tooling alongside my existing process so I can run my model on datasets from various sources.I could very much be wrong here but I believe with Planet I could achieve an extremely similar workflow to what I currently have by leveraging the Global Basemap. The issue that I am running into is that I appear to not have any mosaics added to my acco

We are experiencing persistent 503 Service Unavailable errors when calling the Sentinel Hub Catalog and Process APIs. The issue has lasted for more than 24 hours, which makes me concerned that this is not a transient load spike. Our setup:  Endpoint: https://services.sentinel-hub.com APIs: Catalog (/api/v1/catalog/search) and Process (/api/v1/process) Authentication: OAuth client credentials (working correctly, token is obtained) Script retries requests with exponential back-off, but 503s continue consistently.   Could you please confirm if there is an ongoing outage or maintenance affecting these APIs? If not, we would appreciate guidance on any configuration or endpoint changes we should make

Hi, I am trying to understand if Sentiel Hub API is deprecated or not, but get mixed responses online. Also, if it is, what is the alternative? My goal is to get NDVI and do some other calculations of agriculture related parameters.

Hello, I am downloading Planet Fusion data for a project through a BYOC Collection on SentinelHub. The plan is to have a STAC catalog on my side to archive the data for future use. When I query the Catalog API I get STAC items that have an empty object in the assets field. Is this normal? Is there a way to get this information or at least a template of the whole STAC item?

I am working on a project based in Alaska, and put together a script using the API to see how many image-days per month are available in my study region.  However, I noticed a really weird trend in 2022 and beyond, where the average daily images drops by almost 50%.  What is going on here?  I have attached a graph showing data availability with a Planet cloud threshold of 25% image cloud cover (ignore the grey trend line behind, that is unrelated to planet data.)What is going on here with the drop in data coverage? 

Is there a limit to number of orders, given that I use a E&R (Departmental or Campus Package)? I am in the process of requesting a large batch of orders through the API and expect the number of individual orders might exceed 10,000. Thank you! 

I’m currently trying to download images using the planet api for item_type “PSScene” and product_bundle “basic_analytic_4b”, but I’m getting the error of “Bad bundle type: 'basic_analytic_4b'”.  I already migrated over from PSScene3b but it doesn’t seem to have worked.Is there a new bundle type for the PSScene?Thanks!

Are batch orders exclusively supported on hosted cloud servers, or can customers use their own S3-compatible storage? In other words, why are we locked into providers like AWS and Google Cloud? Customers without access to those cloud services can take advantage of the subscription and tasking services offered by Planet. Is it possible to develop a batch order solution that’s more universally accessible without requiring specific cloud platforms?

             252 / 5.000  Hello, I'd like to know if it's possible to download an image with 8b surface reflectance using Python code. I managed to download it with 4b, specifying the "product_bundle": "analytic_sr_udm2" in the command. However, I tried adding 8b, but it didn't work.

I have access to the PlanetScope daily data under the Education and Research. I would want to access it via an API on my Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud project where I would calculate variables using it such as NDVI then extract pixels for my modeling workflow. without necessarily downloading the full images but extracting portions (pixels) that will form my TFRecords. How may I do this?

Only zoom tiles load atHi,I’m trying to implement the tile server using the education and research license, but it only seems to show a low resolution version of the data. What’s the process to load the full resolution tiles?  Also, I tried using the API to get 13 acres of data using a clip in the API for the AOI, but it used about half my Downloads Scene credit. Is it possible to collect data without having the entire tile count against credit used?  Thank you!  

Hello! I’m replicating the code found at this link https://github.com/planetlabs/notebooks/blob/master/jupyter-notebooks/Orders-API/ordering_and_delivery.ipynb with my own set of images and am receiving the error in the screenshot below when trying to place the order. For reference, I’m trying to pull all available analytic_8b_sr_udm2 products that overlap with my specified area of interest.I’m unsure if this is a problem with the API, the images I’m trying to order or the way I’ve written the code. My code is exactly the same as the one linked, except I performed a paginated quick search first and then copy and pasted the resulting item id list into the request code. That item id list has 786 image ids in it. Any insight someone can provide about what is causing this error and how to fix it would be so appreciated! 

I'm new to PlanetScope and to mapping. My question is which is the easiest and most time efficient way to download my site data from Planet? I find using the Planet Explorer clear and easy to use, and it lets me clip the image data to just my sites, which is very good as it prevents me from going over my quota. However, I want to download the data for my sites across their whole temporal range (2016 to present day). As far as I can tell, the explorer won't let me do this easily as I have to manually click each scene and press the "load more" button.I've also tried using the official Planet plugin for QGIS. It is cool that it loads Planet data directly into QGIS, but I don't see any option to crop scenes down to just the pixels I want. I also don't see the option to bulk select scenes within a date range. Lastly, I've attempted to use the APIs that Planet provides, but this is challenging because I'm only familiar with the R programming language, so I keep encountering errors. Furthermo

Hello Planet community!  I am looking to perform my first batch download and am wondering if it’s possible to get a ballpark estimate of how long this will take. I have a script prepared in Python using Planet’s API that will facilitate the retrieval and download of about 240 images from PSScene (3m resolution). To anyone with experience doing this, how long will this download process take? Should I run it before going to bed to give it enough time, or is it more recommended to try a parallel processing approach? Any tips are appreciated. 

Hi,Is there a way to create a Geometry Filter using defining the AOI directly from a geojson file in Python (ideally using geopandas)? The only examples I am seeing in tutorials is about copy-pasting coordinates, but I hope there is a more automated way to do this.Thank you!

Newby-question here: /stats returns often show millions of “counts” for my searches.  for example:{ "count": 10181598, "start_time": "2016-01-01T00:00:00.000000Z" },Compared to the planet explorer GUI online results with what is (I assume) the same filters, this is an extraordinary difference. I have a code that searches for the most recent basemap available.However, when I list all available mosaics, it only returns mosaics until the end of 2023. Hello, everyone! I am downloading raster images clipped to 11 small aoi. It appears that my quota allocation is still counting the entire scene’s coverage area towards my monthly download quota, however. Does someone have script to make an order to download clipped images on aoi, for a time series. I will be very grateful as I tried and always get either errors or downloading the whole scenes which impact my monthly quota.Any info will be much appreciated.Thanks!

I am working on a project where I am using satellite imagery to get updates on a basin in Texas. What is the best satellite/service to use in order to get the most clear images returned? I have an Enterprise L Account with Planet. What API should I be using to get the images? What is the best way to make sure I get the most clear images. Anytime it is a bit too zoomed in the images are basically pixels.

Hi all,I'm building a dataset for training a CNN. For this I need to acquire about 1000 PS scenes clipped to a rather small area of interest (around 600x600m). I've got the item id's and corresponding AOIs as polygons for all the images I need. Since the AOI for each PS scene is so small I want to use the clipping tool from orders API to spare our quota.My question is this: What is the best way to order multiple scenes clipped by multiple areas of interest?I've already written code (in Python) to acquire the images by sending an order for each image separately, but this solution seems a bit "brute-forcy" to me. Is there some more elegant solution to this? I know it is possible to order multiple scenes clipped by a single AOI in a single order but is it possible to order multiple scenes clipped by multiple AOIs?  Thanks for your help!

Hi folks,I am working with the Data API and I have a question that is really not covered by documentation (https://developers.planet.com/docs/apis/data/searches-filtering/).What do these configs really mean (gte, gt, lt, lte, gsd...) ? Because some of them store not only one data type, for example lte:In the DateRangeFilter "lte":"2020-01-31T00:00:00Z", but in the RangeFilter it is a float - "lte":0.1, or even an integer (https://developers.planet.com/docs/apis/data/quick-saved-search/ or here https://developers.planet.com/docs/subscriptions/tools/). Thanks!
