API code to fetch NAIP data

I am the student doing bachelor's in computer science. I have some coordinates and I want to get the RGB 3m satellite images of 240 by 240 meters area around those coordinates of the particular. I want to automate this process using python, but I cannot figure out how to do so since I am finding hard time to understand API. Can anyone help me do so?

Bulk order “PL_NITF” via API using cURL or Python?

Hi Planet! Is there someone that could help me order nitfs as referencedhere: https://developers.planet.com/apis/orders/product-bundles-reference/Using coordinates to define a bounding box, I’d like to order nitfs via curl, but I’ve not been successful. Specifically, I’d like to order the product bundle “basic_analytic_dn_nitf_udm2” or “basic_analytic_dn_nitf”. Anyone else been successful acquiring nitfs via curl or python?

Unable to download imagery

How to get aggregated statistics of a long time series of PlanetScope data of a very small AOI

I was wondering, if planet’s APIs provide an option to get aggregated statistical data of a long time series (~1 year) of PlanetScope daily imagery of a very small area (<1ha) or even just a point/pixel without having to “manually” download all applicable tiles and calculate the aggregated statistics locally.Context: I want to extract average NDVI values of a small region for each day of a year and plot a time series of the NDVI development.Any help is much appreciated!

What is the preferred way to work with Planet data in Python?

Hi.I am new to Planet data and I am doing some exploratory work and research using Python. Usually I use libraries such as rasterio to manipulate raster data. However, it seems that with the way Planet data is delivered (I am using PSScene 1B data), it is hard to read in the raster with the metadata directly. I find myself trying to parse the relevant information from the XML metadata file manually.Is there a recommended way to solve this issue, such that I don’t have to write my own parsing functions?Any tips on working with Planet data in python in general would be much appreciated.

Announcing: Planet SDK for Python 2.0.0 is live!

A few months ago, we let you know about the first beta release of our new Python SDK and CLI. On behalf of the Developer Relations team here at Planet, I’m so excited to announce that this new toolkit is now live and available to all. This new and improved toolkit took the best parts of the original Planet Python library and added a number of great improvements. How to request the list of available mosaics from the Python API V2

Hi,I was previously using the version 1, waiting for the release of the v2 but the numerous bugs that are rising from 1.4.9 forced me to wire on the more recent release candidates. Bad bundle type - unable to accept order

I’m currently trying to download images using the planet api for item_type “PSScene” and product_bundle “basic_analytic_4b”, but I’m getting the error of “Bad bundle type: 'basic_analytic_4b'”. I already migrated over from PSScene3b but it doesn’t seem to have worked.Is there a new bundle type for the PSScene?Thanks!

I understand that in Data API, I can use date range, cloud coverage to filter the image.I am wondering is it possible to filter images using "Radiometry" as shown below, e.g., I can set the parameter to "surface reflectance". New Python SDK and Command Line Interface!

We are pleased to announce the first beta release of the Planet SDK for Python V2. It’s got a number of great improvements. With this version, we’re abstracting out all the details of interacting with Planet’s APIs, so you can focus on using the data instead of coding another REST API. It handles errors, retries, exponential back-off, and traffic-shaping, all in async interfaces. Request as much data as you want, with the confidence that it’s coming to you as fast as it can.And for those who aren’t Python programmers, we’ve also built a new Command-Line Interface to enable easy interaction with Planet APIs. It is similar to V1, but built in a more modular fashion to enable a wider array of workflows. I have an AOI on the Planet explorer, with the actual satellite image showing on my Planet Explorer already. Is there a way download it through an API as it seems like that image is already paid by my quota on Scene tiles. To clarify, how do I only download this image below.Thanks

Daily product in production

We are building an automated daily product based on the analytic_8b_udm2 bundle and having trouble coming up with a process for quick search + ordering assets. We recognize there is a processing time and that time varies. Is there anything in the API to know if an AOI doesn’t have that asset available for that day at all? Or is currently processing?

Assets link returning empty content? Data API

I’m trying to list an item’s assets (see https://developers.planet.com/docs/apis/data/reference/#tag/Items-and-Assets/operation/ListItemAssets), but the response is empty for some reason. For example, if I send a get request to https://api.planet.com/data/v1/item-types/PSScene/items/20220101_224552_0f21/assets/ (with my API key), I get a 200 response code but the data is just empty brackets. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Surface Reflectance Basemap Quad download via API

Hello Planet-Community,I want to try Planet surface reflectance basemaps (https://developers.planet.com/docs/data/sr-basemaps/) to evaluate if it is suitable for my research project before purchasing wider access. In particular, I want to download a GeoTiff quad tile of a quarterly basemap mosaic via Python, as I have already implemented a processing tool chain which works for another satellite image provider. However, despite quite some effort, I could not yet fetch a single Planet basemap quad and are struggling with a bunch of problems:1) How to access surface reflectance basemaps (BGRN) via the browser on https://www.planet.com/basemaps or through the QGIS plugin? I followed the instructions given at https://developers.planet.com/docs/integrations/qgis/discover-basemaps/, but can view only visual (RGB) basemaps.2) How to get an overview of recent quarterly basemaps at zoom level 16? Issue with API's harmonization tool

Hi Planet Community,My team and I are trying to download clipped and harmonized imagery through the API, the clip tool is running but the harmonized isn’t.We are working with the Surface Reflectance product bundle, so we defined Sentinel - 2 as the target sensor.Below, are the screenshots of the code we are using in Visual Studio IDLE. The goal is to integrate the workflow into an ArcGIS Toolbox.If anyone has worked with this tool or knows the reason why our code is failing we’ll be glad for the help.Thanks in advance.
