Hello everyone, as I am downloading scenes for analysis of area I study in my diploma thesis, there has started to occure an error “There was an issue fetching data for AWS_LTML2” when I click on Search button. I need to download data from Landsat 4-5 TM, until now it worked perfectly fine. Could anyone please help me with this issue? Thanks
I would like to know how to balance the mosaic images. I would like to do a classification but it seems like some images have the red value as twice of the other images, even those from the same day. Is there a color balancing I can do?
I am unable to access Planet Basemaps. Anyone can help me?
I am a student at a university. Can I use the Planet/NICFI basemap for academic competitions, even if I get a prize if I win? What are the applicable terms of service and license based on my case?-of course I will include copyright in the map I make.
The Planet Data doesn't load in the Map Sourc, it eports in browser this message “You've run out of tiles! Reach out to support@planet.com to get more.”Thanks.
I have downloaded several planet PS Scenes, all of them are captured by PSB.SD. According to https://developers.planet.com/docs/data/planetscope/, the image size should be 32.5 * 19.6 km2. However, when I use python to load the tiff file and print the numpy array shape, I get following results. All images have different size, and some are significantly smaller than others, like (547, 13063). Why is it like this? I can provide the file name if it is necessary. Thanks. (8519, 11745) (9018, 13084) (7716, 13091) (9424, 12945) (5661, 4270) (9410, 13041) (8524, 11748) (9439, 12959) (9407, 13028) (8515, 11734) (9419, 13039) (3742, 13094) (547, 13063) (8570, 5336) (9390, 13051) (8578, 8503) (1973, 12990) (7370, 12967) (8577, 6384) (3999, 9560) (5910, 13025) (2293, 13087) (5041, 13054) (9432, 12959) (8583, 7444) (7560, 11803) (7586, 11785) (2799, 11786) (6345, 13019)
I’m trying to get started with the byoc-tool, but seem unable to to even get it built. I’m on OS/X (13.6.6) with apple silicon, and just installed docker and java. Docker version is 26.1.3, build b72abbb6f0. And I get: % docker build --tag byoctool .[+] Building 169.5s (9/12) docker:desktop-linux => [internal] load build definition from Dockerfile 0.0s => => transferring dockerfile: 413B 0.0s => [internal] load .dockerignore
Hi community, is there a service that provides information about the mangrove's extension and sea level rise under climate change scenarios? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I’m a new user in Planet and I’d like to measure the number of people gathering for certain events in Mexico. What would be the best way of doing this?I know the date, time and location of events, which sometimes overlap with the timing when the satellite images are taken. I don’t know too much of remote sensing, but my idea was to measure the spatial distribution of image tone intensities, comparing images of a same location with and without the gathering.I’d appreciate if I could get any feedback on how to implement this! One of my questions is what is the appropriate meters per pixel that image that I should use? What is the minimum size of a gathering that I could detect?Example: I know that in this park (24.022724971695283, -104.67158198775181) there was a political gathering on June 21, 2018 around the time the image was taken. Hopefully, if there were enough people attending, I would be able to observe this, right? Thanks for any directions or suggestions!
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows any good indices to use in urban landscape for picking out buildingactivity and not vegetation?
Hi,I am finding difficulties in overlaying osmdata over Planet data. Though we reproject them in the same CRS, they don’t seem to overlay perfectly. Has anyone faced the same issue or would anyone please help us in this regard? Thanks.
Dear All,I want to find contrail images taken from above with the aim of measuring their width versus distance from the plane, over a distance of several kilometers. I believe the information exists on satellite photos, but I am unable to find them on my own. Here's an example of the type of shot I'm looking for, but with much better resolution :https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Contrails_nasa2004October13.jpgCould someone please help me with some suggestions? Thanks in advance !Best,Serge
