Hello I’m a beginner in GIS and have a few questions about calculating vegetation indices (VIs). Here are the details of my process: I have PlanetScope images (4 bands, 3B_AnalyticMS_SR). I successfully calculated NDVI, and the result was as expected, ranging from -1 to +1. However, when I tried to calculate EVI using this formula (2.5 * (NIR - Red) / ((NIR + 6 * Red - 7.5 * Blue) + 1), the results were strange, ranging from about -8000 to 6000. To address this, I normalized the band values (since some values exceeded 10,000) by dividing by 10,000. But even after that, some values were still greater than 1, which didn’t help. Then, I found a suggestion from somewhere in this community that I should convert the bands to TOA reflectance using coefficients from the metadata because the initial values are in Digital Numbers (DNs). After doing this, I got EVI values within the expected range of -1 to +1. But I’m not sure if this solution is correct. So, I have a few questions:Is the solutio

Where in the metadata can I find an indication that the product is ‘harmonized’, as opposed to non-harmonized surface reflectance image products?I know ‘harmonized’ is an option during product order but how can I verify that I indeed downloaded the desired type of imagery? I am having trouble in getting a clear display of a true color composite (TCI) of a harvested farm in north of India in QGIS. I am using Planetscope image of 2024 from the 8-band Superdove collection. This is a 2.5 acre farm. The TCI content is getting obscured by rainbow effect (‘Unclear.png’). The band ranges and other symbology details are given in ‘Unclear_specs.png’). I have attached a screenshot of the metadata of this farm for reference (‘Unclear_metadata.png’). What band value ranges or other parameters should I edit to see a clearer image?FYR, I have attached screenshots in the three categories for a larger farm (14 acres) that is harvested in one plot and tilled in other plots: Clear_14ac.png, Clear_14ac_specs.png, Clear_14ac_metadata.png. This farm has a very clear view. The clear confidence percent for this image is 95 as compared to the unclear farm (85) but that should not produce such a drastic difference in clarity given the clear percent in both images is 100.Please he

When I zoom in on the map, it appears pixelated and not completely clear. What is the solution? And how do I make it not pixelated even though my zoom is not great?

I would like to know how to balance the mosaic images. I would like to do a classification but it seems like some images have the red value as twice of the other images, even those from the same day. Is there a color balancing I can do?

Hi,I downloaded a few high-resolution images, but I found it is not clear enough when I opened it using QGIS. Is there any special operation required before you can see a clear image (three meter resolution)?
We are using Planetscope images (psscene) for mapping surface displacement. Our work needs to know the DEM used in the orthorectification, so we can decide if we can un-orthorectify and re-orthorectify with the DEMs after an event. How can I get such information. Thanks,Chunli
Just got word that a few farmers submitted inaccurate geometries for their fields (maybe 7 or 8 fields in all). I looked at the sentinelhub API and there doesn’t appear to a means for updating a subscription so assuming I need to delete these 7 or 8 subscriptions and then subscribe to them again with the correct geometries? If this is not the case, please let me know. Was thinking there might be a way to just update the geometry for each field subscription but maybe not. Thank you.

I am looking for a list of all the historical and current norad ids for PlanetScope and the other collections. When I search online by name I am seeing some satellites up as Flock, but I don’t know where a complete list is. Where can I find a complete list of these satellites or their ids?
I am trying to use Python to convert a directory of 4 band PlanetScope Surface Reflectance TIFF tiles to RGB JPEGs so I can upload the smaller, easy to visualize JPEG files to LabelBox for manually labeling Arctic lakes as either ice covered or ice free.I have thrown together a script (relevant functions attached below) which reads in the bands from each of my downloaded TIFF files (I have around 100 right now) and normalizes each of them to 0-255 for conversion to JPEG. I have tried many different normalization algorithms, including histogram stretching, but all methods so far leave almost all my images with significant red, green or blue tint, which makes identifying which lakes are ice covered vs. ice free much more difficult (example of blue tint below.)Is there a way to automatically process RGB files for each of my scenes which will appear without these tints, more like the rgb preview images shown on Planet Explorer? (Or is there a way to directly download pre-processed RGB dir
