Planet Browser LegendNew

This idea is on behalf of another: Legend on Planet Browser should be visible on the map by default. At the moment the legend of a product like NDVI is hidden behind a dropdown in the Visualise window.I think it should be visible on the map also if all overlay windows are minimized since it's a vital part to understanding the data

Conditional before submitting an order in Explorer or APIs to save download quotaOpen

It would be highly beneficial to implement a pop-up notification for customers right before they place an order. The pop-up should convey something along the lines of 'This action will consume X value from your download quota.'In cases where the customer either didn't use the clip option or lacks sufficient quota for the download, a message should appear, stating, 'You do not have enough quota to proceed with this order.'This proactive approach will undoubtedly help us avoid numerous issues related to downloads in the future.

Add PlanetScope Tropical Visual Monthly Basemaps to Sentinel-Hub Commercial Data so they can be streamed with OAuth Clients in QGISNew

Today the only way to visualise the PlanetScope Tropical Visual Monthly Monitoring basemaps in QGIS is through the Planet Explorer plugin, which requires sharing a single user login (or PLAK API key) with every analyst.This becomes a security and quota-management issue when several interpreters (2–5 in our case) need to perform visual land-cover assessments simultaneously.Suggested improvement Make the Tropical Visual Monthly Basemap collection available in Sentinel-Hub Commercial Data Import, just like PSScene and other Planet products. Once enabled, each analyst could stream the 4 m basemap tiles via WMTS/WMS using their own OAuth Client (client_id / client_secret), generated in Planet’s OAuth portal. This removes the need to share personal credentials, keeps PU usage under individual tokens, and leverages the Sentinel-Hub cache/proxy already supported by the QGIS Sentinel-Hub plugin. Benefits Security – no more distributing a single PLAK key or account password. Fine-grained quota control – PU usage is traceable per client token. Operational efficiency – teams that already rely on Sentinel-Hub (EO Browser, Process API, QGIS plugin) can integrate Planet basemaps in the same workflow. Scalability – larger organisations can manage dozens of interpreters without credential sprawl.

The reason behind this is that sometimes the “create order from here” button is used and its easy to forget to change the order name. As a result, many orders with the same name are created.

Improve visibility of Archive SkySat imagery in Tasking DashboardDelivered

Currently, the “Archive” option only appears when selecting "point" as the area of interest, which makes it easy to overlook for users who create requests with “line” or “area”.It would be really helpful to add this earlier in the tasking flow, perhaps with a note or visual cue indicating that archive imagery is only available for point-based requests. Also, a guide or help doc outlining how to access and purchase archive images could go a long way in making this feature more discoverable and user-friendly.

Providing at least 6 months of historic bimonthly average NDVI time series plot for any downloaded image.Delivered

Offer the possibility that once an image area of interest has been selected, and offering NDVI, … and others products, to provide a time series plot of a an average NDVI to see the average seasonal evolution of the selected product. This would require computing this type of variable using at least 12 frames (in the neighborhood of every 2 weeks for 6 months), since NDVI does not change much in 2 weeks. This is because in the case of several indices, one is interested in the time evolution. This way, people in general do not need to download 12 images and compute the NDVI and contrasting images.

Download spectral analysis from Planet ExplorerDelivered

Currently, it’s possible to do some spectral analysis on Planet Explorer such as NDVI, NDWI and etc. However, users are unable to download these analyses. To be able to download them, users need to use the API. It would be great if the user could perform these analyses and also download them on Planet Explorer.

I would like a box in the tasking dashboard to check if I am tasking for vegetation monitoring, such as forestry or agriculture, that adjusts the Skysat parameters (sun agle, nadir angle, etc...) automatically to maximize the quality of Skysat imagery being collected for vegetation specific use.

Inclusion of "Order Name" Field in Usage ReportsOpen

Hello Planet Team,In our organization, we use Planet Explorer as a key part of our processes, and we have identified a critical limitation in the Usage Reports.For each download, we follow a specific naming structure that includes key identifiers linked to our database. However, when downloading the Usage Reports from the plan information, we noticed that they do not include the "Order Name" field, which creates significant challenges in tracking and managing our downloads.Currently, we are forced to manually identify order names and do so account by account for each user, as we cannot find a consolidated view of all orders in one place. This is not a sustainable solution and negatively impacts our operational efficiency.We believe this improvement is fully feasible, as the Tasking Dashboard module already allows for downloading complete reports, including the "Order Name" field, which has been extremely helpful for our internal processes.We would greatly appreciate your prompt attention to this request, as having this functionality would significantly enhance our image management and improve the analysis of key variables in our projects.We look forward to your feedback. SkySat tasking area order statusOpen

For SkySat tasking area order, if an AOI is not fully captured by the end of TOI, a status will be “EXPIRED” but quota will be deducted based on content delivered. This status can sometimes cause confusion, because user would not think that quota has been consumed just by looking at a status. It would be great if a status was a little easier to undestand. For example, “Partially Fulfilled” .

A pop up to remind customer that they did not choose the clip optionOpen

Sometimes customers might accidentally order a whole scene instead of their AOI because they forgot to clip. This lead to overuse of their quota or they use much more quota than they intended. A small pop up as a reminder that they did not clip might be beneficial.
