Add relevant location data layer

In Canada in the prairie provinces land is surveyed using the Dominion Land Survey and this survey is used by government, agriculture, environmental entities and , Mining and NGOs to locate land by quarter section. Therefore for Saskatchewan - It would be handy to have this as a searchable base layer to locate land parcels. It is available for around $200 Can from Saskatchewan Information Service Corp https://www.isc.ca/MapsandPhotos/GISData/Pages/SaskGridTownshipFabricMap.aspx

Using Planet Data to identify sports fields?

I am curious if there is anyone that has used Planet data to determine when new sports facilities (i.e baseball diamonds, football pitches, basketball courts) are developed. Alternatively, has anyone used Planet data to index the number of basketball courts in an area?

Satellite Imagery in Medical Field

I recently read about researchers using satellite imagery to measure the probability of a disease outbreak of monkeypox. The research is based on the encroachment of human settlements into dense forests with known habitat for rope squirrels who transmit the disease. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3237841/ I would love to hear about medical studies using Planet imagery.

Glacier Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) analysis using Planet imagery - Lago Argentino/Brazo Rico, Argentina. Geography BSc thesis extracts.

Here I present some of the research outputs from my analysis of the 2016 and 2018 Glacier Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs) in the Brazo Rico-Lago Argentino lake system in Argentina. Below is a collation of the key diagrammatic representations of how I utilised Planet data to inform and guide my analysis. In QGIS, I measured changes in lake area and glacier advance using these images and aligned this with lake depth data to provide a reconstruction of the dynamics of the 2016 and 2018 damming and GLOF events.
