Hello!

The link to the user license for the Copernicus DEM on AWS found here

https://copernicus-dem-30m.s3.amazonaws.com/readme.html

appears to be out of date. The newer version is (I believe) this fellow:

https://spacedata.copernicus.eu/documents/20126/0/CSCDA_ESA_Mission-specific+Annex+(1).pdf/83b44c0a-244a-7ba3-b00c-b578a34e88a7?t=1604070311399

Specifically, page 18+ discusses the GLO-30 DEM and its free and public use, while the older license appears to be much more restrictive. I think it would be good to update the readme if possible.

Hi @pyoung,

the license linked on AWS Public Bucket is a valid license from the time when the data were uploaded. You are, however, right that there is a new license available.

We plan to update the collection at the AWS Public Bucket (Copernicus is making some quality-assurance updates) and at the time we will also update the license.

Best,

Grega
