Hi,To expand our ability to send data to additional clod providers, it would be great if the delivery method in Orders and Subscription API would natively work with S3 compatible bucketsThanks,
When Ordering Images via Explorer, the amount of quota that will be consumed is displayed under the field “Estimated Area”. This helps users gauge how much quota they will consume. However, this field only reflects the values assuming “Premium Clipping” type, not “Preferred” or “Starter”. It would be best to reflect this value based on the clipping type defined in the plan.
When trying to log out and log in to a different account with the same browser, the workflow is to be sent back to the account that was previously logged in before. This has caused issues for customers with access to multiple accounts (commercial account/partner account) and resulted in unexpected quota.Current workaround: This can be resolved by clearing cache before switching or using incognito browser.
Would be helpful adding functionality for breaking a large order (>100 quads / scenes) into multiple small orders on our end that are within the 100 items limit.Having this functionality would help with download speed and customer satisfaction.
I want the quota for each order to be calculated based on the requested Area of Interest (AOI), allowing me to avoid charges for overlaps among item IDs covering the AOI, so I can manage costs accurately and prevent unexpected charges.
Currently there is no way to search for Stereo imagery via Explorer, or API.The ability to search for Stereo imagery would be helpful for customers interested in Stereo imagery over their AOI. Rather than having a custom script developed to do this for each request, having the ability to search via Explorer or API would be helpful.
We are currently experiencing delivery failures for our subscriptions. While the notification payload provides valuable information such as the subscription ID and failed item ID, it lacks the essential detail of the delivery failure reason. This information is crucial for us to effectively troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues.{ "schema_version": "0.0.1", "subscription_id": "5ba3b46d-5eb5-4ec5-a3c7-8faf6c906014", "topic": "delivery.failed", "name": "elegant dragonite", "result": { "item_id": "20240826_223522_66_24b7" }, "timestamp": "2024-08-27T04:09:45+00:00" } Proposed Enhancement:Include Failure Reason: Add a new field to the notification payload that clearly specifies the reason for the delivery failure. This could include but is not limited to: Item Errors: Invalid item format, missing required data, or processing errors. Provide Detailed Information: If possible, include additional details related to the failure reason to aid in troubleshooting. For example: { "id": "70455fea-1706-499d-8795-dd7c7293f900", "status": "failed", "properties": { "item_id": "20240826_223522_66_24b7", "item_types": [ "PSScene" ] }, "created": "2024-08-27T03:56:17.715664Z", "updated": "2024-08-27T04:09:45.144083Z", "completed": "2024-08-27T04:09:45.144083Z", "errors": { "reason": "Processing failed", "details": [ "could not collect necessary data for task (code: FAILURE_CODE_UNSCHEDULABLE Harmonize_v1)" ] }, "outputs": [] } We believe that incorporating delivery failure reasons into the notification payload will greatly enhance the usability and effectiveness of your service. Thank you for considering this feature request.
Add tool to select multiple sets of Scenes to download in Planet Explorer, instead of only being able to do this through the API
Request to add the SkySat Terms of Service details to the Tasking Dashboard for customer awareness versus having to locate and review the terms.
On behalf of a customer:Each user can see PU consumption but there is no dashboard showing the total amount of PUs consumed by the whole account/ organization. This leads to suprises when reaching the PUs limits
On behalf of a customer:Fusion needs to be delivered to a cloud bucket or needs to have SH for BYOGC
On behalf of a customer:Misalignment has been blocking analysis since it cannot be filtered
On behalf of a customer:Rate limits impact the amount of operations / requests via API increasing time to download data and complexity as a work around is having several APIs to perform several requests in parallel. Would like some level of flexibility
On behalf of a customer:Missed clear information in Planet’s ToS on the Tasking Dashboard that would pragmatically link ToS to customer’s operation workflows. For instance if they are cancelling an order, it is subject to be charged or not depending on the scheduling of the next task.
On behalf of a customer:There isn't an option to download aggregated reports from accounts page
On behalf of a customer:Distortion in airport runways
On behalf of a customer:There are a few captures (Cloud Cover > 15%) treated as valid/ success and this causes the need to raise a dispute for those captures to reject the images.
On behalf of a customer:Need AOI level cloud statistics. More accurate cloud % in general.
On behalf of a customer:Obligating cloud delivery paths for Subscription API limits access to PV's
On behalf of customer:Request for documentation about tile view usage.
On behalf of a customer:Complicated usage resulting from composite tool use for those who purchase PlanetScope download.Request for documentation to explain usage implications when using composite 'by strip' and composite 'by area'
On behalf of a customer:Find the workflow for tasking is inefficient. For example, user needs to place and order first in Tasking Dashboard, and once image is captured, they need to place an order in Explorer to process their images that they task.Suggestion is to make it into a single step. For instance, customer can place and order and state which asset would they like to process in. Once image has been captured, image will automatically process and sent to the customers without delay
