On behalf of a customer:Each user can see PU consumption but there is no dashboard showing the total amount of PUs consumed by the whole account/ organization. This leads to suprises when reaching the PUs limits
On behalf of a customer:Fusion needs to be delivered to a cloud bucket or needs to have SH for BYOGC
On behalf of a customer:Misalignment has been blocking analysis since it cannot be filtered
On behalf of a customer:Rate limits impact the amount of operations / requests via API increasing time to download data and complexity as a work around is having several APIs to perform several requests in parallel. Would like some level of flexibility
On behalf of a customer:Missed clear information in Planet’s ToS on the Tasking Dashboard that would pragmatically link ToS to customer’s operation workflows. For instance if they are cancelling an order, it is subject to be charged or not depending on the scheduling of the next task.
On behalf of a customer:There isn't an option to download aggregated reports from accounts page
On behalf of a customer:Distortion in airport runways
On behalf of a customer:There are a few captures (Cloud Cover > 15%) treated as valid/ success and this causes the need to raise a dispute for those captures to reject the images.
On behalf of a customer:Need AOI level cloud statistics. More accurate cloud % in general.
On behalf of a customer:Obligating cloud delivery paths for Subscription API limits access to PV's
On behalf of customer:Request for documentation about tile view usage.
On behalf of a customer:Complicated usage resulting from composite tool use for those who purchase PlanetScope download.Request for documentation to explain usage implications when using composite 'by strip' and composite 'by area'
On behalf of a customer:Find the workflow for tasking is inefficient. For example, user needs to place and order first in Tasking Dashboard, and once image is captured, they need to place an order in Explorer to process their images that they task.Suggestion is to make it into a single step. For instance, customer can place and order and state which asset would they like to process in. Once image has been captured, image will automatically process and sent to the customers without delay
On behalf of a customer:Unable to download a list of users & user info from the accounts page, would like this functionality
On behalf of a customer:Pixels not aligning which makes time series analysis difficult
On behalf of a customerWould like to be notified about any cloud coverage changes over their task more than 24 before. They might task earlier.
Planet stories provides an opportunity to create time series videos, but it doesn’t allow you to rewind or pause the video. Having the ability to rewind, pause, or fast-forward in time allows customers to visually see change over time which can be difficult when looking through hundreds of images.
I would love to see the functionality that a user could add in their own kml to planet to view areas and before allowing it to be opened it would show how much area is going to be opened and how much that user has left in their subscription. In my line of work, we are always rushing to get areas open and as planet does a good job most of the time to get the area opened quickly it is very frustrating when we can’t get the area opened quickly. Having to go through the ticketing system just to get an area open seems to be an unnecessary workflow and I think it would make everyone's experience better if we had full control to open what we want, when we want. Thank you
on behalf of a customer: Confusion over if the cancel button is clicked, but were still charged.
When using “partial delivery” I would like to see which items failed explicitly. In other words, the orders API response includes a list of the files delivered, which have the item IDs in them. Comparing that against the input IDs should show which were not successfully delivered.I would like to have an explicit list of failed_items within the API
There should be a bulk download option within the Basemap Viewer. For people who are not comfortable with the API or the CLI, clicking the download button next to each individual basemap quad is cumbersome, and each quad downloads as its own file rather than a single bulk file which clutters the downloads folder. Additionally, the nomenclature of the basemap quads should indicate their date. Pausing to throw 50 quads from one month into a single dated folder before moving on to the next month to ensure I’m organizing the right data together is time consuming. Also when the quads are actually in my GIS, I have no immediate way of knowing the date of the quad I’m looking at.
Hi, for consideration:When adding a tasking order, the default start and end dates are today and 364 days from now, respectively. If a customer’s contract is only for 1 year, this automatically creates an ‘end date after contract’ error and requires user input to update the end date for the collect.Users may decide to update that end date anyway; however, I enjoyed not having to make another selection and just leave as-is. There may be more considerations, but perhaps defaulting that to a year or the furthest valid date would be a better user experience? There’s also something about seeing a red error message based on a default values that the user didn’t even enter…(it’s a little thing, but thought I’d offer it up!)
Planet stories is a great resource to record land use changes over time. However, it is not possible to change the title of Time-Lapses once they have been published. In order to edit the title, a new Time-Lapse needs to be created which can be time consuming. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
