I’m experiencing an issue with Planet basemap imagery that started about 2–3 weeks ago.
Although my API key is active and working normally, all Planet basemaps have become blurry / out of focus, to the point where they are not usable for analysis. This affects all imagery, including older monthly mosaics that previously displayed correctly.
Important details:

The basemaps load normally (no connection or authentication errors)

The issue affects all Planet imagery, not just recent data

Even historical mosaics that were sharp before now appear blurred

This behavior started suddenly around 2–3 weeks ago

API access is valid and unchanged

Issue persists across zoom levels
I’ve attached an image to illustrate the problem.
This makes me suspect a server-side issue, such as a change in tile resolution, WMTS configuration, or streaming settings, rather than a problem with the imagery itself.
Has anyone else experienced this recently?
Are there any known changes to Planet basemap services, WMTS settings, or resolution limits that could explain this behavior?
Any guidance or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
