Am I able to order any data under my current 30day free trial? My account seems to say I have some units to be able to download but I can not add anything to be ordered when looking at data.

Thanks

Hi @spencercathey

the 30 day trial is just sample data. For more information see this documentation page: Start a Trial Account

During the free trial you can see your units, but most data sets can’t actually be ordered until you’re on a paid plan. That’s why the “add to order” option stays disabled. You can try checking other categories, but it’s usually just a trial limitation.

Hi @Wahttly

You can access sample PlanetScope image through Planet Sandbox Data.

As stated in the documentation page linked above (Start a Trial Account) you cannot download data on while using a trial account nor will you be able to access data over your own area of interest. We advise purchases a small volume of data (can be purchased in increments of 5 sq km) if you would like to view your own AOI.

Do I see that price for tier 3 is 2700usd and is it in regards to high resolution satellite photos like 1m or better or is it for 3m resolution?

Hey @Wahttly - the tier 3 refers to the geography of where you will be able to access imagery. Tier 3 covers Africa, some of South America, and much of Southwest Asia.

All of the products for PlanetScope, which is the ~3.7 meter resolution product. The only higher resolution option is tasking which you can find pricing for here

Note that with tasking, we only capture imagery where it’s requested by users. Whereas with PlanetScope, also referred to as Planet Monitoring, we are passively collecting images for most of the globe.

If you want to test out a small amount of tasking, such as just a single task, we recommend using Planet Select Tasking
