I need a history of satellite images but when I download only the monthly mosaics are there, is there a way to get the daily satellite images that make up the planet mosaics?

Hi
If you are a NICFI user, then you will only have access to the monthly mosaics, not the individual scenes.
However, if you are a PlanetScope user, then you can use the identify tool to pinpoint the PlanetScope image for any given pixel in the basemap and then search for that image in Planet Explorer.

Is there a way to change my NICFI account to Planetscope?
