Hi,
We do charge twice if you request two taskings from the same area, regardless if you have already tasked the area or not. Could you please let me know the name of your task, so I can verify? Thank you!
I haven’t confirmed the order yet as I do not want to create messy tasks.
What I would like is a daily survey. From what you wrote it seems I should schedule multiple photos in seperate tasks?
The order id:
34dc2b12-5d7d-4cbc-878d-18e48f0a157d
I understand … What do you mean by daily survey? You should create an order with your area of interest and we will collect the image for you. Here you can find information about how to correctly submit your order, please refer to Flexible Tasking.
I checked the order: 34dc2b12-5d7d-4cbc-878d-18e48f0a157d
Everything is correct, if you create another task for the same area, we will charge you 32.155 km².
Thank you for your answers.
I went through the docs, however, it is still not clear for me what is an outcome of a flexible order over a particular AOI, single item (1 photo per pass) over a selected time period.
Will I get a collection of photos over time? Or I will get one photo taken within that time period or maybe something else.
Can you please explain?
Yes, you will have only one single image over your area of interest. As soon as we collect a successful image for you within your time of interest, the tasking will be “successful” and we won’t collect more images.
Now I understand.
Could you please refer me to something instructing how to task a repetitive time-lapse survey? Or I simply need to schedule same for each day?
I am afraid this is not possible, unfortunately, SkySat Flexible Tasking does not allow for specific or daily image collection. Each tasking requires a 15-day time window, and we cannot guarantee the availability of images on a particular day.
Solution:
in order to have a time-lapse SkySat imagery of a certain area when having a plan with flexible tasking only one needs to schedule a consecutive tasks over same area with a minimum 2weeks time span, such tasks should be repeated one after another. The time windows should not overlap!
As a result one gets few ‘every-two-weeks’ photo but the frequency is not guaranteed (any day and time within scheduled two weeks so working in polar day/night areas are easier to handle :)).
Thank you Thami for your assistance.
Hi @wgajek,
I understand you are looking for Skysat solutions but I just wanted to make you aware that you can do something similar with PlanetScope by setting up a saved search over the area, and you should get several PlanetScope images.
