Hi there, I am trying to build a simple Sentinel-1 search tool on the AWS S3 bucket.
Basically i want to find the product identifier based on a coordinate.
Can someone give me a brief overview how the images are categorized? There is no tileID like in Sentinel-2 right? How can i find the correct image for a coordinate?

True, S1 data are distributed and structured differently. I think you will have to create a database of all products and then ingest the product geometries.
We do have such an API in place, STAC compliant Catalogue API:
