Geometric metadata | Planet Community

Hi,

Is it possible to extract the geometric RMSE accuracy for each image from the raw metadata? For both Landsat and Sentinel-2 collections?

Google Earth Engine offers the extraction of the “GEOMETRIC_RMSE_MODEL” attribute from the raw data, but I cannot see an option to extract that in Sentinel-Hub.

Hi @alisdair.cunningham,

this is currently not possible directly via API.

You can, however, get these meta-data by:

using Catalog API to get information about which product specifically is in the area

fetching AWS path from the Catalog response

fetch metadata.xml from AWS for a specific product, i.e.
https://roda.sentinel-hub.com/sentinel-s2-l1c/tiles/36/N/TJ/2019/3/29/0/metadata.xml
https://roda.sentinel-hub.com/sentinel-s2-l1c/products/2019/3/29/S2A_MSIL1C_20190329T080611_N0207_R078_T36NTJ_20190329T102712/metadata.xml
