Best Script for MODIS NDVI | Planet Community

Hey there, we’re integrating the MODIS Satellite in our platform, but we’re facing strange indexes results.

Beetween Oct 17 until Jan 18 there is a lot of zero-index values that sounds a little strange.

Here is a comparison between Modis and Sentinel

This is the script we’re based to use in our instance.

Is there another script or any recommendation to use MODIS index ?

Perhaps worth checking (a generally good practice) how the data actually look like in these problematic time periods. I usually use EO Browser for such quick checks, e.g. time-lapse will be quite efficient.

Then I suggest you check the IndexDatabase:

and browse through the information available, including related research papers.
