On September 14, 2023, archival PlanetScope images will only be available through the PSScene item type. PSOrthoTile archive images will no longer be available through the Planet API or Planet Explorer. This change allows Planet to improve your experience by streamlining access to PlanetScope data through a single source.
- If you use PSScene with the default filter options, you do not need to make any changes to your account. There is no impact on your workflows or ability to access orthorectified imagery through PSScene.
- If you use PSOrthoTiles to change filters, please update the item type in your workflow from PSOrthoTile to PSScene before September 14, 2023. Please see our PSOrthoTile Deprecation and Migration Plan for additional information.
