Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Planet is excited to announce multi-factor authentication (MFA) support for web logins.
What’s New?
MFA is a security feature that requires more than one type of user validation (For example, username/password, one-time password, and SMS notifications). This feature protects accounts from bad actors, even if they've acquired the username and password.
Currently, Planet MFA protects web logins to your Planet Account using the one-time password authentication factor.
Adding additional factors and expanding MFA to API access is not included in this release but in consideration for future enhancements.
