I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Hasan Al Shareef, an Independent UN Expert and President of AGDO.e.V (Arab/German Green Development Organization). We are currently leading a humanitarian initiative focused on mapping water resource dynamics and monitoring ecological stress in arid and semi-arid regions, using remote sensing data for real-time, evidence-based decision-making.
Over the past few days, we have engaged deeply with the Planet Community platform and received valuable support and engagement, including from @elyhienrich. We’ve also proposed a new feature request for a Dynamic Water-Resource Dashboard in Planet Explorer, and contributed to discussions around PlanetScope-based monitoring strategies.
Given this momentum and our organizational capacity, we would like to formally request technical collaboration with Planet, including:

Pilot access to PlanetScope data for a defined humanitarian case study.

API access or Developer Tokens to integrate Planet data into a GIS dashboard for humanitarian field teams.

Optionally, co-designing workflows that could be publicly shared as a model for other non-profits.
This request stems from real needs on the ground — in regions affected by both climate pressure and conflict-induced water scarcity. We believe this collaboration can serve as a living example of how Earth observation empowers humanitarian action.
I remain fully committed to documenting the technical, ethical, and impact aspects of this collaboration, and would be honored to work with your team to shape the next steps.
