Problem: When ingesting individual Basemap quads into a BYOC Collection, I am facing the issue that the COG is not tiled:
Unsupported:
File 'quad' problem: The image of TIFF directory 0 is not tiled, which means that you don't have a proper COG. To create a proper one using GDAL, you can follow the steps from Sentinel Hub Documentation.

I am using the Orders API with delivery to S3 to automate the ingestion process.
When applying the merge toolchain in an order, the ingestion works.
Workaround: The current workaround is to download the quads and convert them to properly tiled COGs locally before ingesting them into PIP.
Suggested solution: 1. Enable merging of quads for basemap orders > 25 quads.
2. Deliver basemap quads as tiled COGs. By default or by allowing the File format tool.
