Penelope Morkel

Good morning,

I have been granted an education and research license to use while working on my MSc, and I downloaded my first scenes. I am new to this, so I downloaded a scene that had a number of images in it. When I tried to use this in QGIS to calculate vegetation differences using NDVI, I found that there was visible striping in the mosaic, and I cannot use the scene. I have done some research and now understand that this can happen, and I have subsequently gone to look at the available scenes for the day I would like to download from, and found that there is one download where my whole study area is covered by one image. I will now download this one. I wanted to ask if there is any way that the part of my monthly quota that I used to download the scenes that are unusable can be reset. Is this a possibility, even though I know this was due to my own lack of research? If it is not, my apologies for asking. I also wanted to ask if there is a way to check how much quota a download will use before I download it?

Thank you in advance, Penelope

Hi @Penelope Morkel, your quota automatically resets on the 1st of each month

In regards to quota calculation, this is not something we currently offer, however you do have the ability to see estimated quota when ordering in Planet Explorer (see attached screenshot for example)
