The Planet Purpose Awards recognize companies pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and leaders that are championing our core values of using satellite data to help life on Earth.
This year, the theme was “From Transparency to Action” and there were five award categories.

For their work in detecting changes & illicit activity in the Amazon.
Drive for Results: Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department, Odisha & Odisha Space Application Centre (ORSAC) & Technology Partner: SPARC Private Limited (India)
For an innovative surveillance system to benefit small and medium farmers.
Strive for Openness: Radio Free Europe
For their investigative reporting using our data on the war in Ukraine.
Be Collaborative: Norway’s International Climate & Forests Initiative (NICFI) & Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT)
For their coordination with partners, users, and clients to help fight tropical deforestation.
