Planet’s Crisis Response Program has made available select non-commercial data for the recent earthquake affecting Hualien County in Taiwan. The 7.4 magnitude earthquake was Taiwan’s strongest in 25 years, has injured more than 1,000, and impacted thousands more. The initial earthquake and subsequent aftershocks have also triggered landslides, posing additional risks to residents in the region. Planet has collected initial data in the region, but we plan to make more imagery available as cloud cover and imaging conditions improve.
This dataset is reserved for qualified users affiliated with organizations directly involved in or supporting response efforts.
