Hi everybody,
I have a question about the quality layers associated with Copernicus DEM. Especially, I’m interested into Water Body Mask (WBM) of GLO-30 Copernicus.
My question is how the WBM is obtained, so what algorithm was applied to get the classification into ‘no water’, ‘ocean’, ‘lake’, ‘river’ classes for the pixels.

Hi Debbie,

We do not produce this dataset ourselves. More information can be found over at the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem site: https://dataspace.copernicus.eu/explore-data/data-collections/copernicus-contributing-missions/collections-description/COP-DEM

If you still have questions I would recommend reaching out to their support team.
