Getting NDVI values from sentinel 1 GRD

It is not possible to derive NDVI or NBRI from Sentinel-1 GRD. Sentinel-1 is a SAR sensor whereas you require a multispectral sensor such as Sentinel-2 to derive NDVI which relies on the Red and NIR bands.

Of course, you can download the data in a specific CRS. This is part of the payload in your Process API request. By default this is set to WGS84, but can be set to other projections such as a specific UTM zone. I encourage you to test this out in the Request Builder tool 🙂
