Change credit card

Hello!

I was reading the FAQs to see how to change credit card information and it says I need to revoke current existing subscription and establish a new one before revoked one expires.

My only doubt is if I can do this directly after revoking first subscription or do I need to wait until last days of my revoked subscription to purchase new one? Wondering if I just buy a new one now, while most of my revoked subscription is still ongoing, I get charged immediately or not.
