Missing metadata and problems with the tool Apparent Reflectance

Hello,I'm a college student and not very proficient in using ArcGis Pro and Planet Imagery.I would need advice on the Apparent Reflectance tool. I'm working with images from the PlanetScope satellite and I don't know where the problem is, but I don't see the metadata of the images. It's rejecting my data format. So I opened the metadata in a normal browser. To create I need Radiance Gain and Radinace Bias for each band. I'm not sure, but isn't it Radiometric Scale Factor and Reflectance Coefficient in the source current? Next I need the Sun Elevation, so I assume that is the same as the Illumination Elevation Angle? And I also know the Scale Factor and Offset, because it results from the number of bits in the image.So I tried to use these values to create. But it told me that the Acquisition Date is missing, probably because I don't have the metadata uploaded there. So now I don't know what to do with it, because I have nowhere to write the Acquisition Date.I will be grateful for any a

Question with azimuth angle of PlaneScope data

Hello,I just want to know the satellite azimuth information for PS2.SD L1B images which I downloaded.I found that there are two types of metadata: GeoJSON metadata and General XML metadata.And the definitions of the "satellite_azimuth" in GeoJSON metadata and "azimuthAngle" in General XML metadata are quite different. In case of "azimuthAngle" in General XML metadata, "azimuthAngle" means "The angle from true north at the image to the scan (line) direction at image center, in clockwise positive degrees" from the PLANETSCOPE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS document.The "orbitDirection" of my PS2.SD L1B image is "DESCENDING" so I thought the scan (line) direction must be equal to a direction like following figure in consideration of how PS2.SD image composite were made.However, I found that "azimuthAngle" is 1.203555e+01 in General XML metadata and it doesn't make sense because I think “azimuthAngle” must be at least over 90º.So, I want to know what I missed...Thanks. Will the new Pelican satellites improve E&R resolution?

Student here:If things are still on schedule at Planet, the new line of Pelican satellites are launching next year and will provide higher resolution imagery and faster revisit times. How soon after launch will these satellites come into use, and will the E&R plans be included in this improvement in imaging capabilities? Currently high resolution tasking (for my current plan) isn’t available beyond 3m, but Pelican promises 30 cm. ThanksAaron Moore

Is it possible to use the clip tool with educational account downloads?

I’m currently a PhD student using Planet imagery for some of my projects. I have written some Python imagery download scripts to help gather imagery for my research via https://api.planet.com/data/v1 and am wondering if it is possible to access the clip tool for surface reflectance (_sr) assets through the educational access. This would be great because it would save a lot of storage space and let me not worry about exceeding my monthly quota. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!Phillip

Hi, good day! I applied and was accepted under the Planet's Education and Research Program. I tried acquiring PlanetScope Scene and PlanetScope Ortho Tile. However, the website still requires me to “Purchase Access”. Is there an additional step to avail the satellite images for free? Thank you.

Searching Images over a large multi-polygon over multiple years

Are there different generations of SuperDove sensors?

Hi,I would like to know more about the consistency of the data acquired by different SuperDoves. Are there different generations of SuperDoves with relatively different radiometric characteristics or all of them are exactly the same sensors? If they are different, are the harmonization parameters available to match the SuperDove data from one to another one? I know there are harmonized data with respect to Sentinel-2 but this product seems not accurate over water bodies particularly rivers. So, I need a means of harmonizing the SuperDove data relative to each other.Thank you!

API to download what I see in the Planet Explorer

I have an AOI on the Planet explorer, with the actual satellite image showing on my Planet Explorer already. Is there a way download it through an API as it seems like that image is already paid by my quota on Scene tiles. To clarify, how do I only download this image below.Thanks

Can the Data Quality Reports be updated so that the scatter plots of PlanetScope (PS) reflectance against RadCalNet are for the current quarter, and not historical?Would it be possible to plot the reflectances (for PS and RadCalNet) against time for each band for each RadCalNet site separately***, so that users can see the variation from day to day in the satellite reflectances, and compare them with the fluctuations in the RadCalNet values. It would be interesting to add the Sentinel 2 spectral data, as in Figure 15 of the 2022-Q1 Report.Where can I find definitions of Absolute Accuracy, Precision and Uncertainty (see Table 1). PS Is there a tag for Data Quality? *** and / or make the data values available in a Table in an Appendix, so that users can plot the values.
