How can I retrieve the data from the competition that Planet hosted on Kaggle? The Kaggle competition found here. Distribute all of its data through a torrent file, please note you will need a Kaggle account to download the torrent found here. You can also use the Kaggle api with the following command: kaggle competitions download -c planet-understanding-the-amazon-from-spaceAs an E&R user can I get access to the Planet Fusion product?Unfortunately, Planet's E&R program does not include access to Planet Fusion products. If you would like to purchase access to it, Planet's Technical Support is happy to connect you with Sales in order to do so. Unfortunately, SkySat Data and access to Tasking Dashboard isn't part of Education & Research Subscriptions. All products included in the E&R program as a basic user are:Planet Data: PlanetScope (Ortho Tile, 3 Band PlanetScope Scene, 4 Band PlanetScope Scene) RapidEye (RapidEye Ortho Tile, RapidEye Basic Scene)- Data available til

Apologize for the question but i am a beginner in programming.I am trying to write a script in Python and automatically download and crop a specific area using gdalwarp (I tried with the clip tool without success: https://developers.planet.com/apis/orders/tools/#using-tools).Although being able to get a clipped image, this is simply a black thumbnail (840KB).The final goal would be just to download the cropped part.At the moment I am downloading the full image and it creates the thumbnail mentioned above. The coordinates were extracted with the geojson.io toolCould be the problem related with the coordinate system (although the clipped image is quite small and let me think the issue is something else). Could you please advice what am I doing wrong? Below the code section:# Clip the image using gldalwarpclip_output_image = os.path.join(save_folder, "clipped_" + filename)input_coordinates = "33.282952632083095, 34.94060635659089, 33.282952632083095, 34.94060635659089"# Define the target c

HiI have downloaded the data for my study sites. It comprises 6 scenes. For one month i downloaded the composite image but it seems like the different scene has different stretching effect. So i downloaded the individual scenes separately to mosaic.I tried to mosaic each band of the scene using ArcGIS, mosaic to new raster tool. But i am mosaicking a single band but the output is becoming an RGB image. Can anyone help me out of this confusion. I have attached the image of mosaicking of band-4 from each scene but the output is an RGB image. This is for your kind reference.
Hello all,I have a shapefile of my region of interest which I want to import to Planet Explorer. It is a multi-polygon layer which is displayed in QGIS without problems.Upon importing the .shp, I receive the error “Cannot read properties of null (reading 'coordinates')”. If I try importing it along with all its associated extensions (.dbf, .prj, .shx), the error changes to “This is an unsupported projection.”My projection is EPSG:25832 - ETRS89 / UTM zone 32N and I also tried EPSG:4326 - WGS84.How could I solve this?Thank you in advance!

Hi forum, I have created a basic account to access two Planetary Variables: SM and VOD. Although Planetary Variables are not listed among the products available to basic users in the E&R program, it is not clear whether they are included in other products. Can I access these products with my basic account for educational and research purposes? Thanks!Regards, Sabrina
Student here:If things are still on schedule at Planet, the new line of Pelican satellites are launching next year and will provide higher resolution imagery and faster revisit times. How soon after launch will these satellites come into use, and will the E&R plans be included in this improvement in imaging capabilities? Currently high resolution tasking (for my current plan) isn’t available beyond 3m, but Pelican promises 30 cm. ThanksAaron Moore
Hi, good day! I applied and was accepted under the Planet's Education and Research Program. I tried acquiring PlanetScope Scene and PlanetScope Ortho Tile. However, the website still requires me to “Purchase Access”. Is there an additional step to avail the satellite images for free? Thank you.
